When each summer comes by we all go to the beach, some of us go there to take a swim, some of are looking to get that perfect tan. You might take your kids with you, and you must have remembered that some day when your were a kid you must have dug through the sand to build a sand castle or just to dig a plain hole that usually gets filled by the oceans waves. But have you ever wondered how far you can dig down the beach sand ?

Well to answer this question we must refer to basic geology. Sand is just a bunch of finely grounded rock material and it rests on a layer of different types of rocks. For the most part, you may often find them to be similar to the kind of sand above it. In most cases, digging under the sand will take at least 10 ft until you find rocks.

But it truly depends on the area, since the earth has experienced many rises and fall of sea level over millions and millions of years therefore some areas may have different sediments, so you might find metamorphic rocks, mud stone, or just plane fossils. The only way to find out is by inspecting the underneath the sand which if you do actually go beyond 10 ft, authorities may have trouble with you since it's considered somewhat illegal in some countries to dig under the beach sand without any special certificate.

How far can you dig through the beach sand ?

1. The Devil's kettle

The devil's kettle is one of the most mysterious places on earth. this weird double water output waterfall has one strange and weird trait that has baffled scientist a lot. As you can see from the picture the water goes in from entrance and gets out from the other, the thing is scientists have never seemed to figure out where the water ACTUALLY goes! both a weird and mind boggling mystery. Some scientist tried to put dye in the water to see if the water color changes. But still it never does. One theory suggest that the water that comes out from the second exit is actually not related to the water from that enters through the first entrance. Which means that these are two separated rivers.

2. Movile Cave

Located in south east of Rome. This cave was discovered by workers who were looking to setup a power plant, after digging deep underground to test the surface area. They were shocked to find a room filled with water contaminated with sulfuric acid & carbon dioxide, not only that but they found a whole bunch of insects living there. Scientists took samples of the water including some of the insects found there. They were amazed to find out that none of these creatures lived anywhere else on the planet. These creatures have completely and successfully adapted to live in that atmosphere, and survived by eating the sulfuric foam on top of the rocks.

3. The Armenian Stonehenge

Located in southern Armenia, in the city of Sisian. Near by there are many Stones that weigh more than 30 tons spread out through 1/3 of a mile. Named Karahundj, aka " The Armenian Stonehenge. These stones date to almost 7500 years old, yes it's actually older than the British Stonehenge by more than 4500 years. Made out of basalt, these rocks are distributed in a circular fashion, where at the center lies the stone circle made out of two circles one inside the other. Scientists think that it's a part of some astronomical model about the stars, because there are boring holes that are pointed at different alignments to multiple positions in the horizon night sky. While there are some carved drawings in some nearby structures that may look like a different population.

Since she started, she has created a page for him and also a donation website " Animal Ark Rescue."

She added that she hopes to spread awareness to animals who have no chance of finding homes as they get closer to dying.

Elliot said. "There are so many people that say animals don’t have souls like humans, but I feel like anybody who met Chester would see he does have a soul. He has already fallen in love with me. He follows me everywhere. "That was my main goal to inspire and encourage people to adopt shelter animals that people are less likely to adopt like older ones and the terminally ill"

She also plans to continue adopting sick and elderly animals to hopefully give them some happiness to their last moments.
